St Peray Blanc 2006, Les Vins de Vienne, at Majestic Wine
Les Vins de Vienne is the result of a partnership between three of the Rhône’s top growers, Yves Cuilleron, Pierre Gaillard and François Villard, and their wines are regarded as representing the essence of each vineyard area. From a blend of Marsanne and Roussanne, the nose is complex, with notes of ripe stone fruits and aniseed. Full and rounded in the mouth, it is well-balanced with a lingering, clean finish. Excellent with fish.

Viognier-like aromas of ripe, juicy peaches and blossom develop on the palate, which is surprisingly full-bodied and crisp for a wine with such delicate aromas.
